Coaching Reminders
Take this opportunity to review some key reminders heading into the season. The sooner you become familiar with these rules and practice the guidelines, the smoother the season will go.

	• NEW THIS SEASON. Teams will have 3 timeouts for the entire game. No more two timeouts per half. You will have 3 timeouts to use as you see fit.
	• Before the game even starts, referees will check to see that all players's flags are CUT AND TAPED before they are allowed to step on the field. If the notice that a player's flag IS NOT CUT AND TAPED then they wil NOT be permitted to play.

	• In the case of an INADVERTENT WHISTLE, the offense has two options: Take the ball where it was when the whistle blew and the down Is consumed. OR Replay the down from the original L.O.S.
	• If a player catches the football or receives a handoff and their jersey is out/untucked, the play MAY be blown dead and the down is consumed.
	• Flag Obstruction – Players flags must be on their hips at all times. Click HERE for example! If a referee notices a player’s flags anywhere but on their hips, the play MAY be blown dead and the down is consumed. BOTH EXAMPLES ARE CLEARLY JUDGEMENT CALL BY THE REFEREE
	• Under two minutes remaining in the game, the clock will ONLY stop on incomplete pass, if the runner steps out of bounds, change of posssesion or for an extra point attempt. The clock will not stop to set the pucks if the flag is pulled inbounds.
	• Only one pair of hands are allowed under the center and there MUST be a clear exchange on any handoffs.
	• On a defensive holding penalty (in any division) the offense will have the choice of taking the play or 5 yards from the L.O.S. and first down.or the result of play (and the down is consumed).
	Coach against FLAG GUARDING. and make sure the flag belts ar put on the RIGHT WAY, not the WRONG WAY.
	• ALL RUSHERS MUST LINE UP ONE YARD ON EITHER SIDE OF THE CENTER and/or RUSH PUCK. THE RUSHER CAN NOT LINE UP DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CENTER (to prevent head on collisions).
